Chocolate and glitter are two of my favorite things, and Libby Chandler has combined them using resin! What a creative way to upcycle candy wrappers after enjoying the sweet morsel inside. I look forward to seeing the new treats she’s made to sell at Ogre’s Grove’s 5th anniversary celebration Saturday, Oct. 22, starting at noon.

Libby is a Cape Henlopen High School student who has spent hours and hours crafting. When asked what motivated her to open her own business, she responded, “The story of how I got started is kind of a sad one. I’ve had stomach problems since I was little and life got much worse when I got a concussion last October (I’m all healed now). Since I was home a lot, I needed something to do. Thankfully my dad gave me my first resin kit for Christmas along with a rock painting kit so I can paint all of the rocks I find on the beach. I sat there for hours and hours a day, just crafting and crafting, and I realized, what am I going to do with all of this stuff? So on Feb. 27, I opened up Crows Corner Creations.”
