Featured Artist: Madison Griffin
Madison Griffin’s art (and the Beetlejuice suit she was wearing) first caught our eye last November at Revival House’s Third Thursday event. She is only 19 years old and has thus far dedicated her life to art. She loves to share her work with the community, so we knew she was perfect to be the first artist to have an exhibit at the Grove. We’ll have her original paintings, prints, buttons and agate slice necklaces on display through April. Here’s a bit about her in her own words:
“Hey everyone! I work every day chasing my dreams and aspirations. My inspiration is my nightmares and my day dreams; I have fused these things into my art (videos, photography, paintings and more). I love to show people a different side of beauty because I believe horror can be beautiful, too.
Furthermore, I am a soon-to-be graduate at Delaware Technical Community College with my associates degree in communications. Next year, I plan on attending Salisbury University to work hard for my bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts.
Over the past couple of years, I have been trying to find my art style. Whilst doing so, I have received a lot of support by my fellow peers, professors, friends and family; I am very grateful for that.
My goal in life is to make a living by creating, no matter what medium it may be.
Thank you again for the support and have fun shopping in Ogre’s Grove!”
