Snag a Space in Free Comic Book Drive-thru May 2

The official Free Comic Book Day may be postponed due to the pandemic, but the Ogre has dug through our leftovers from past years to offer free comics on the traditional date, the first Saturday of May! But how do we do this safely, you ask? Well, we’re taking a page from MJ SWAT and offering a drive-thru in historic Milton.

The amount of comics per person will depend on the amount of people who sign up, as our stash is limited. Participants must fill out the form at forms.gle/F5YxY21rZNukHGDd9 before 11am, Friday, May 1 to make a reservation.

Times to pick up the comics will be assigned in 10 minute increments, starting at 11am, Saturday, May 2. The Town of Milton is reserving the two parking spaces between the library and 129 Union St. for the event. Participants who arrive early are asked to park in the municipal lot across the street until their assigned time.

As selection is limited, readers will not be able to pick which comics they want, only if the content is mature or youth. The bags will be filled with as much other swag as possible, thanks to the help of our pals at Plb Comics and Ocean City Comic Con.

Just because you have to stay in your car doesn’t mean you can’t cosplay. We look forward to seeing some creative masks!

Thanks, John! You’re welcome to watch us from a safe distance (so we don’t get in trouble) as soon as we start at 11am – but your car reservation is for 12:30!
